Hi, I’m angela!


Hey there!  So glad you’ve stopped by!


I’m Angela Mager, a registered nurse, certified health coach, and mastery certified in the Transformational Coaching Method.  That’s a fancy way of saying I help people get unstuck from subconscious beliefs.


I am also the mother of 2 handsome teenage boys that make my world go ‘round.  My husband and I have always planned our work schedules to make sure at least one of us is with them, and to this day one of us is there for them at the drop of a hat.  We are all introverts, and enjoy relaxing vacations in the West Texas mountains with my parents, and cozy movie nights at home.


When I became a nurse, I knew I wanted to help people be well.  During the next 20 years of my career I tested out many fields of nursing:  ICU, floor nursing, elementary school, hospice.  These were are rewarding in different ways, but none filled that drive I always had.


When I learned about health coaching, I knew I found my true calling.  Now, with the many years of experience I have caring for people who had end stage diseases, I have a strong motivation to prevent my clients from going down those roads.


Then I met discouragement


Becoming a weight loss coach has not been an easy transition.  There have been more times than I can count when I wanted to give up, and settle for a job that was great, but not my true calling.


I had to learn new skills, like public speaking, writing, and sales.  That wasn’t what I thought I’d signed up for.  When there was no one but crickets at my talks, I felt discouraged.  “Maybe this isn’t for me” was a common thought I had.


But I wasn’t ready to quit, so I got my own coach.   She told me the first thing I needed to do was to “get your happy back”!  So, that’s what I did.  I took purposeful steps to get happy.


I played with different music, to find just the right style to make me feel great.


I hiked in the woods.


I got my mind completely off of what I was trying to achieve, and focused solely on getting happy about life again.


It worked!  By getting happy about life, my attitude toward difficulties changed.  It’s an ongoing process, but it’s also a fun process.


And I bring that element of fun into my work with clients.  I help them see their setbacks through fresh eyes, and use play to find their solution.

When you stop the negative chatter that discouragement brings with it, you start to believe in yourself.  You know how capable you really are, and the steps to get you to your goal get easier and easier.
